T-Mobile and Sprint both offer the highest discount for military families–T-Mobile offers 50% off family lines and other discounts on auto-pay monthly plans, and Sprint offers 50% off family military lines. Verizon and AT&T offer 15% off plans and discounts on accessories.
Electronics
Apple, Best Buy, Microsoft, and Dell all offer a variety of discounts, usually between 10-15% off products. Best Buy also offers half off their Geek Squad services to military families–that may come in handy for a busy spouse who needs electronics help when their husband or wife is deployed!
Home
Home Depot and Lowe’s offer a 10% discount on all their products to military members–Home Depot includes reservists, and disabled or retired veterans and their immediate families in their discount. Sherwin Williams offers a 15% discount on on paints, stains, and supplies to active members, reservists, and veterans.
Travel
With American Express, military members can get annual fees waived on any charge or credit card, including their Platinum card, which comes with a number of benefits and perks! Avis offers up to a 25% discount on rental cars, and both Geico and Liberty Mutual Insurance offer discounts to military members.
USAA is still usually the cheapest place to use for rental cars, but dealerships Audi, Chrysler, Ford, Infiniti, Nissan, and Harley Davidson are some of the many that offer military discounts on purchased cars and bikes.
Education
At Tutor.com, military members can receive free tutoring! The site will provide homework, essay writing, SAT prep, and prep on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) for those who want to take or retake the test.
Grocery
There are several grocery stores that offer discounts–BJ’s offers 25% off their membership, plus a $10 coupon. Both Sam’s and Costco offer a military family package to military members who buy or renew their memberships.
